Many of our Lemonade Party Box customers are moms. A Mom myself, weeks, even months before special occasions and holidays, I already start researching for cool ideas for experiences for the family and gifts for everyone I love. Finding the best advent colour cookie baker in town, the perfect PJs, special treats leading up to the holiday, recipes to try out....the list goes on.
It's no surprise Mom's take on a huge mental load of preparing for the holidays. Let's face it... many moms really enjoy and look forward to it. That said, it's always nice to be appreciated. Kristen Wiig's SNL video of Christmas Morning doesn't have to be a reality!
So I thought I'd share a few ideas for making a magical Christmas for Mom as well, beyond seeing the joy of her happy loved ones enjoying the magic that she helped create herself.
For me, the best idea I would suggest, is an EXPERIENCE, that takes very little effort from Mom and would be something she enjoys. Here are three ideas to consider that can be done with luxury or moderate budgets.
1. Gift of Wellness
Okay, I have to put this top on the list.. This is by far my favourite gift.
Luxury budget: A gift of wellness could include booking Mom an appointment or two at her favourite spa. Time away to do something she enjoys or try something she has thought of before. A painting class perhaps?
Modest budget: A lovely facial mask, a holiday scented candle and Spotify playlist of her favourite songs.
2. Gift of Memories
Luxury budget: A family photo session with a professional photographer is a great way to go. This goes well with the first gift as well. Book Mom a hair/ blow dry appointment at her favourite salon in the morning, and then the photo session in the afternoon.
Modest budget: Create a photobook with memories from a trip you took this year. Our Letters to My Wonderful Mom Books are a great choice.
Create a treasure trove of letters for your favorite mom. Simply fill in the blanks on eight situation-specific missives, seal them in their corresponding envelopes, and present the whole package in its keepsake box. The letters can then be opened at just the right moment in the future to provide your personal thoughts and encouragement. Gift ideas for mom that'll make her cry (in a good way) Includes scenarios like "Read me when you need to know how much I love you" and "Read me when you.."
3. Gift of Cozy
Gift Mom a cozy afternoon off with her favourite book or activity. Build an experience around it. Make her a basket with holiday themed tea, a journal, pen, and a beautiful scarf. Wrap all the gifts in a beautiful canvas holiday tote bag that she can treasure and use time and time again.
